Six The Story of Six Real Life Brothers


Innovative, energetic, phenomenal; those are just some of the words that can accurately describe Branson’s sensational SIX. Oft referred to as “an orchestra of human voices,” SIX embodies the very essence of showmanship and family. With an intense energy and a dazzling presence on stage, these talented entertainers effortlessly combine their powerhouse vocals with their uncanny talent for instrumental and sound effects.
But just who are these six brothers? The group SIX is comprised of six actual brothers, who were born to Arnold and Joyce Knudsen. This amazing family actually boasts ten brothers, and no sisters. The Knudsen brothers are Barry, Kevin, Lynn, Jak, Owen, and Curtis. The remaining, and youngest, four brothers are not at all left in the shadows of the performing eldest; each of the brother play a vital behind the scenes part in bring SIX to the stage.

When the oldest boys were knee-high, their father recognized their talents for making up songs and harmonies, without any formal instruction. As a gifted musician himself, Arnold Knudsen sat his boys down at the old family piano and began teaching them some of his favorite gospel hymns. In no time at all the boys were performing in church, talent contests, rotary clubs, and fairs; amazing their audiences with their easy harmonies. Their first big break came with a national television spot on the Donnie and Marie Show in 1978.
As the years went on, the boys continued to perform and expand their reach. From disco to barbershop to punk rock and gospel in between, there were no limits to the musical talents of SIX. In 1987 they struck out on their own; making their way to California. Within just a few short months they were performing for Hollywood’s elite, with big names like Warren Beatty and Arnold Schwarzenegger soon making up their growing list of fans. In 1988 they secured a steady gig at Disneyland’s “Blast to the Past,” which allowed them the time to develop sufficient material to work their way into additional projects.

SIX has earned a number of impressive awards, including the Harmony Sweepstakes and CASA awards, for both their vocal arrangements and released recordings.

Inspired and filled with the confidence that comes from being an award-winning group, the members of SIX have been performing as full time musicians since 1995 and have been fortunate enough to share the stage with some of the greatest names in the music industry; including Rod Stewart, the Doobie Brothers, Diana Ross, the Beach Boys, and Trisha Yearwood, to name a few. Their award-winning performance has been was feature on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines for many great years.

Now performing full-time in beautiful Branson, MO, SIX offers a great set list for their audience’s pleasure. Audiences will be treated to the SIX renditions of great songs that include classic hits from Tom Jones, the Beach Boys, Frankie Valli, Elvis, MC Hammer, Journey, Coldplay, Kansas, and even LMFAO!

The Andy William’s Moon River Theatre is a 48,000sq ft. state of the art theatre that boasts the honor of being the only theatre to have been featured in Architectural Digest. The Andy William’s Moon River Theatre has a reputation for offering sensational stage shows each and every year; the 2013 lineup is proving to be no exception.
Adding his own unique Irish charm, Daniel O’Donnell will be making his world-renowned show a fixture at the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre in 2013. As one of the most successful entertainment icons in the world, Daniel O’Donnell brings to the stage his flawless vocals with a blend of country and gospel favorites, effortlessly intertwined with traditional Irish Ballads. Silver Dollar City
This 1880’s themed amusement park is at the top of the list for most people visiting Branson, MO. You can also enjoy checking out 40 live daily shows and all of the other rides that make Silver Dollar City a true favorite for people of all ages.

White Water
As the summer heat takes hold, you will be looking for a way to cool off. Ripley’s Believe It or Not
If you are interested in seeing some of the oddest things ever to surface, you will want to check out this museum of the strange. You will see some of the most bizarre exhibits imaginable. Everything from shrunken heads to two-headed calves is represented in this museum unlike any other. The entire museum is inside of a yellow building featuring a crack down the side of the building. The crack is a tribute to the 1812 earthquake that rocked Missouri.

There is no shortage of theatres with live performances. You will be able to enjoy everything from music to plays to comedy. Simply walk through downtown Branson to take your pick from the best theatre options available.
