Top 5 Things To Do in Branson in 2013

This year will be a busy year for the city of Branson, Missouri; many sources are forecasting a high volume of travelers pouring in to the city to take in all of the attractions and shows that Branson has to offer. With the recession behinds us, people are building confidence and are ready to take that much-needed vacation that the family has been delaying to take for the past 3 years.

If you are visiting Branson this year I have compiled a list of the Top 5 must see Attractions and Shows.

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede is a favorite among first time visitors to Branson.  People fall in love with the ambiance of the dinner show and its performers and don’t forget the beautiful horses and other animals. Remember that you will eat a full dinner meal while watching horses prance around in a rodeo style arena. It is fun, the music is lively and you will have the time of your life. You will definitely want to comeback to see Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede for more next year.

Joseph - Sight & Sound Theatres produces some of the best shows around from Miracle of Christmas to the story of Joseph. This Spring Sight & Sound Theatres is offering Joseph’s Story. The wonderful story from the Bible that we all have come to love and enjoy, about a young boy that endures many difficult situations and how God’s mercy and grace makes him triumphant though it all. The stage is huge and you are able to see the performance practically anywhere you sit. The show has animals that help with the story line. This is a must see show for the entire family, Sight and Sound Theaters put a lot of work into what they do.

Silver Dollar City theme park, families that come to Branson always have this on their list of things to do. Silver Dollar city offers roller coaster rides and new to 2013 is the Outlaw Run roller coaster. It is exhilarating and different from anything else you have ever done. I like how they changed it up and created a western theme that was well done. But if you are not into the fast things, and you want to just take in everything Silver Dollar has to offer, you can enjoy the many arts and crafts venues that are available from glass blowing crafts to culinary classes. When you are in Branson make sure you visit Silver Dollar City and relax!

Branson’s Titanic Museum the world’s largest museum attraction is in a word AMAZING! To be able to walk through an exhibit with so much history and to learn and see what the people on board got to see and marvel at is just unimaginable. As you are going through the exhibit you will come and actually get to feel just how cold the water was on that dreadful day. You will also have your portrait taken and create a lifetime memory of you trip to Branson. The Titanic Museum is literally a walk through time and if you are a history buff or not you will love it. This exhibit gives children a chance to learn history.

Ziplines in the Branson area have popped up in recent years. There are many different styles of ziplines that vary in the type of experience you want to take. You have one that focuses on eco-adventures and take leisurely tours through the Ozark Mountains and others really get your heart pumping like city zipping. Whichever you end up doing you will have the time of your life. Branson Zipline has the Power Fan, which allows you to take a 100ft free fall and wake you up. The Vigilante Zip rider propels you to speeds up to 50mph and you wont know what hit you. Bring the family to the Branson Ziplines and create a memory that will last forever.

Of course Branson has much more to offer and if you really want to maximize your trip, plan ahead, do your homework and prioritize. Schedule your activities ahead of time and remember to leave room on your schedule to do other things just in case you see something you want to do. Whatever you decide to do, as long as you do it with your family and loved ones it will all be worth it.
